A workshop on “IEEE Circuits and Systems Society – Adaptive Filter Theory,” has been held in Accra by the Information Technology Department of Sikkim Manipal University Learning Centre in Accra.

The one-day workshop, which was held at the Academic City campus of SMU Ghana, under the auspices of the International Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world’s largest technical society, was to expose students to opportunities in the engineering field.

It also had the aim to equip students with the technical knowledge required by IT professionals in the area of circuit and systems design, and to acquaint participants with research accomplishments, as well as development approaches provided by researchers.

A five-day technology camp for female pupils and students has opened in Accra.

Organised by STEMbees, a technology-based education group, the camp, dubbed the “Coders Hive,” will contribute to the development of technology education.

Among other objectives, the camp is aimed at helping to bridge the digital divide, and also promote the interest of girls in technical education.
