Former National Youth Organiser of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh has slammed the Minister of Power over his one-year short term approach to end the erratic power supply.

According to him, the energy situation has caused more harm to the country and waiting for another year to resolve the erratic power will not be accepted as many calamities will befall the nation before 2016 if the energy situation is not resolved immediately.

The Ashanti and Brong-Ahafo regional chairman of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) has rubbished an impending demonstration against ‘dumsor’ (erratic power supply) on Independence Day.

According to William Awuku-Ahiadormeh, the action is “wasteful and defeatist” especially when the energy crisis is public knowledge.

A group calling itself Concerned Ghanaians intends going on an anti-government demonstration over the worsening power situation on March 6, Ghana’s Independence Day anniversary.
