Divine Wisdom Versus Satanic Subtlety

Divine Wisdom Versus Satanic Subtlety

by -

God the creator of heaven and earth is described in Scriptures as the only wise God (1 Timothy 1:17).Satan the thief is also known as the most subtle among the beasts(Genesis 3:1).God is wise; satan is crafty!

God created the world by His wisdom (Psalm 104:24) and gave the earth to man to have dominion over it (Genesis 1:26). Psalm 115:16 says: “The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men”. The ownership of the earth was given as a gift to man. Satan however, stole the earth from man through his craftiness (John 10:10).

How did satan steal the earth from man? He took advantage of a divine law which says: “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey…?” – Romans 6:16. Satan tricked Eve to obey him instead of God; and when that happened, man automatically became satan’s subject. Paul the apostle hinted on this in 2 Corinthians 11:3 which says “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” Satan became the god of this world through tricks (his subtlety). He blinded man’s mind to disbelieve God and took the ownership of the earth from him. 2 Corinthians 4:4 – “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them”.

Satan captured man ‘lawfully through tricks! In Isaiah 49:24-26 God said: “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children…and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob”. God Himself intended to contend with the devil to save mankind from the mess.

However, for this to be possible, God will have to become a man. Anything short of that is unjust because man who was the rightful owner of the earth, willingly relinquished power to satan by obeying him instead of God. This is the situation which made God to hatch the wisdom of Jesus! God decided to give Himself to His sons as a ‘Son gift ’(Isa 9:6) to help sons of God do what they cannot do by themselves due to sin. A sinless blood was needed to save us; and no man could offer that because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23). Hebrews 2:14 says “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil”. So the sinless God became a man to obtain a sinless blood to save us!

The wisdom of God humbling Himself to become a man to save us with His blood was too high for the ‘proudsatan’ to comprehend, hence he did not consider that an option God could use. 1 Corinthians 2:7-8 says “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”This wisdom knocked satan out! God Almighty Himself, who will never give His glory to another (Isa 42:8), became a man (Jesus Christ) to contend with the devil and save us from his shackles. That was God’s demonstration of His ultimate love for man! Satan never imagined God could love man to that extent so he did not consider that option! God gave him ‘wisdom knockout’ by His immense love for us!

Isaiah 45:15 says: “Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour”. The Saviour (Jesus) is none but the God of Israel who came into this world disguised as a man. Most believers are battling with this truth. Philip was once in this dilemma; so he said to Jesus: “Lord, show us the Father and we will be satisfied with that” what was Jesus response? “Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?” – John 14:9.

This truth which is difficult to comprehend is the reason many settled with ‘Trinity’ which makes God three persons united as one, instead of ‘Diversity’ which makes God one person operating in diverse ways as Father Son and Holy Ghost (1 Cor 12:6).Beloved, Jesus is God Almighty who became a man on purpose. This is the message given to the church to preach to the world in this last days. Hear God in Isaiah 43:10-11: “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour”. Our God is the “only wise God”! Hallelujah!
